My first experiences with touch2

Hello all,

I am a year-long htc blackstone user, flashing miri roms etc, a heavy user.

So I bought this week my wife the touch2 (mega). Now I have some issues with this one. For me these would not be that much of a problem - I am fluent with stopping data connections - but we are talking about not such a fluent user now...

I already installed the owner info patch.

Apparently we live that far in countryside, that the home page weather does not work. Google location services is configured, google maps finds our location - but weather not. No location at all, just tells that the weather data is not available.

Second thing... no hdtweak or kaisertweak for that yet? I'd like to configure the internet (gprs/3g) to deactivate automatically when not in use. This is not found in the settings anywhere. Using NoData or such is just not practical. The stopping data connection would be to save battery.

Third.. sense tabs. In the settings there is no possibility to change the order of the tabs :-O

I too, recieved the touch2 3 days ago. Need to sort out how to send sms in groups, like my old nokia n95 this could be done without any problems. The weather updates are costing me network charge, beware! Been searching the net for this sms software and most are not what i am looking for.. Anyone out there to help? Would reflashing the phone rom with a custom one work? As the phone is locked to t-mobile I would like to dismiss the logo start up's and the t-mobile web settings. Help anyone.. Please. Thanks You.

For the wather map to work, you must enable the location services that can be found in the settings.

needless to say, I have activated the location services.

it just must be the fact that we are living so far in the countryside.

I have on my blackstone a newer rom and manila - the weather shows perfectly our home location, a small village of 3500 inhabitants.

I wonder if that version on touch2 would work in a city.

hey guys i aint a touch 2 owner yet....

but to answer one of your questions anssibragge

there is a thread made up for touchFlo2d 2.0 themes and there is an app that has the ability to change tabs around/ disable tabs

this may work for your touch 2

its made by Twolf and i think its called ReFlush but i could be wrong

the thread is in the windows themes under dev/hacking
