DONATE TO ME
Default Creating custom Android ROMs for the T-Mobile Pulse.

Hi,

I and a few others are trying to create a custom Android 1.6 ROM for the T-Mobile Pulse (Huawei 8220). Currently it has a bastardized 1.5 ROM.

My question is: How have you guys (e.g. cyanowhateverhisnameis) created the custom ROMs for the HTC phones without access to the proprietary libraries for the later android versions? For example, AOSP doesn't seem to build libskiagl.so or libsgl.so so I have copied these into a 1.6 system.img from the Huawei device. It doesn't work due to missing symbols, so I guess those libraries have changed from 1.5 to 1.6, but I can't see a way around this.

Are we totally dependent on Huawei releasing 1.6-compatible libraries?

Cheers,

Tim
