In Android™ 1.6 the intent android.provider.Telephony.SMS_RECEIVED is no longer an unordered broadcast thus allowing an application to stop an sms from reaching the inbox allowing push notification to be non intrusive to the user. At the moment push sessions can only be initiated manually from their web-interface. A XML-RPC api will be released later for automated sending. via Ericsson Labs
