Thumbs down [droid] wifi tether

Hey is there a android 2.1 app or kernel that can use the wifi tether app that got removed from the marke?

whats on its way?
i just bought my Moto Droid the other day i had a htc XV6800 before this so i thought id start looking at hacking my droid

WiFi tether is coming soon for the Droid, the custom kernel has been compiled so now we need a rom to use it, that is the basics of it.

ok well my android experience is a bit lack but could a pre-existing rom be tweeked to utilize the new kernel? or is the problem no utilization but the 2.0 firmware?

Thanks! Been waiting for this. This allows it to be used as a hot spot too right? Letting you connect your ipod touch, etc?
