iGO8 missing backslash in keyboard

Found an odd problem, when I tried to configure an external application link in iGO8 there was no backslash in the internal keypad so I coundn't type in the path to the external program I wanted to run. I checked my old PDA (HP-210) running the same software and skin and the backslash was there. In iGO8 there is a symbol tab you touch to access the "character" keypad and on the PDA the symbol is @/! but on the HTC it's 1/!. anyone run into this? Is there a keyboard setting that may be causing this? (I couldn't find anything out of the ordinary)

did you notice the different layout?

make sure you're in the qwerty keyboard

at least i think thats the problem

Thanks Neville, was in qwerty mode but still no luck. Checked over at GPS underground and was told the file I needed to edit manually, works fine that way.
