Default Htc droid eris section

Mods can we please get a HTC Droid Eris Section up and running. I am currently in love with this phone!

Already proposed this. From what I hear it is waiting on admin approval and creation.

They are probally waiting for it to have full root access, but in the meantime tips/tricks and general knowledge can be thrown into the forum.

No, most of the time HTC phones get on here before they get root. It is a common misconception that the HTC Droid Eris is a re-branded Hero, so that is probably why it doesn't have its own section yet. The hardware is identical to the Hero, but the operating system is an updated and patched version of Android 1.5. This is why the Hero rooting methods do not work on the Eris. I'm willing to bet that the device is not actually the Hero, but the long lost HTC Desire because the bootloader says DESIRE.

What ever it is, I love my device after turning off all wireless/wifi/bluetooth/mobile network always on. I had 56 hours of uptime no charging/syncing and a total of 5 hours of use absolutely the longest ive had for a phone!

This would make good sense since ERIS is the last 4 letters of DESIRE backwards. Good thought!

As soon as i post a tutorial on battery life and increasing it, The forum dissapears!
