I love my HD2!
Well after reading through the forums and seeing a lot of the threads I thought I was going to regret buying the Leo. I got it a week ago on Tmobile for £20 a month and it cost £31 for the device. A lot cheaper than getting an iphone.
Basically none of my fears have been realised. The keyboard worries were sorted by switching to Swype, which is truly amazing. The SMS problems I never had really because I changed to ROM 1.61 early on via Goldcard. The battery life seems fine to me for such a high specced device with a huge screen. That screen is amazing. The size is immense, I love it. The sensitivity is incredible and was something that I always longed for since coming across the iphone. The phone is big but thin and I don't even notice it in my pocket.
HTC Sense is really good. Not perfect but way better than a lot of reviewers would have you believe. I've come across a few things that have bugged me but so far I have managed to find something on this forum to overcome them all. The only thing that still hasn't been sorted is the pink hue to the camera and the inability to control the bluetooth volume on the handset. But these are liveable with.
I should add that I came from an HTC Kaiser and maybe I am a bit jaded because I grew to love that device despite the frequent need for reboots and the many limitations (the whole hardware acceleration debacle). I love customising my phones and overcoming the problems and xda-developers is surely one of the best resources ever. This site really makes owning a windows mobile phone a pleasure. TBH If it didn't exist I don't think windows mobile would still exist.
Anyway I am convinced that the Leo/HD2 is by far the best phone on the market by a long way.
