I think I have a HTC Clone.
I can do this **42738378## then talk.

But I am not able to go to the TF update by hold down the Green talk button, the center button and the power button

I can go to the white screen when I hold down "down volume" + "power"; but it says usb mode.

i have the same problem i upgrade from w6.1 to w6.5 and the center button didn't work
now i try to enter the tft mode i can't

When I rcv it, the centre button and wheels are working, and it's in english. But I am unable to turn on the wifi.

Do you have wifi?

After uploading this rom my wheel buttons do not work at all

I wanted to put another rom but the power + green + center button start up does not work any more

luckily i found an old article about power + volume down to start usb update then found touchruu to upload a new rom

Does anyone know how to get the buttons and wheel working again on the t4242?

Are you sure you don't have a T4242+ ... the wheel does not work (exist) in the T4242 on that device it is just a 4 way button that just looks like the wheel.

Well i looked at the pictures on the forum showing the differenece between the t4242 and the t4242+ and mine definately looks like the t4242.

The wheel is probbaly fake, when i go into the engineering menu and go to keypad i just see 5 buttons not a wheel but if you press the buttons
only the right button works as down.

Mind i bought it from china on ebay, the add was for a t4288 but he also had t4242's so i think i ended up with a t4242.

It had windows mobile 6.1 on it where as the t4242 he was selling had 6.5 on it.

One other thing i have noticed is that since putting on 6.5 my power consumption has gone through the roof, the battery goes flat in a day
i have turned on all the standard options to try and save as much power as possible, when i was on 6.1 the battery lasted a week

Does anyone have a 6.1 rom for this unit as i might do what other people have suggested is the best and go back to 6.1

Please I downloaded your ROM-MANILA v2.0 QVGA for WM6.5, but I don't know how to run or Load it...could u kindly explain to me the steps so I can b a proud user of this ur splendid ROM

wheel is definitely NOT fake - it is working, as well g-sensor (which I did not see in the menu before), power consumption ok, display seems to react better than before
