Flan Gallery Backported from 2.1 to 2.0.1 but to 1.6 or even 1.5?

I saw the Flan Gallery backported to 2.0.1 from 2.1 so can it be backported to 1.6 or even 1.5.

I tried the Flan Gallery in Eugene's Eclair ROM but that was too slow to enjoy.

I saw 2.0 apps backported like the dock and car home so I'm hoping this can be backported.

If this question has been already answered please just give me the link and close this thread and do not start flaming me.

Yes it is, I checked my system/app and it says gallery_flan.apk

Ummm the gallery_flan.apk is the 3d gallery found on the Nexus, NOT the one that you have

I checked the system app xml and it says cooliris, so I hav ebeen duped. Thanks for letting me know.

so is there a way to backport or push it...or is it just impossible right now?

for now, it seems impossible on 1.6 but hopefully we can get a full 2.0 or higher rom for the g1 and mt3g.

With 2.1 on the g1 I tested it and it ran at like 5fps and didnt load the pictures only the menus and backgrounds no thumbnails.
