You need to check the rom thread to see if there are any specific radio requirements. Some roms, if based on the TMOUS 2.10 rom, will not boot up if you flash an x.xx.51.xx radio and if you have a TMOUS HD2 it can brick your phone if you flash the wrong radio.

Can someone tell me what Radio the latest Vodafone UK ROM comes with?

Ive tried 2.07, 2.08, 2.09 and 2.10 - and i cant work out which is better....?

Luckily for me, and I am a complete nooby on these wm rom flashing stuff, Luckily there is this fantastique XDA forum, and I soon found several posts about this problem, well actually the symptom ("boot stuck on White screen")

I went to Bootloader and connected trough USB to my PC.
As explaine in the forum, I first tried with just flashing the Radio, but that didn't help.
I then thought, well what the hell, phone is broken, just let me try to re-flash with a full Stock ROM that I'm sure is compatible with my device !

I re-flashed the Official FRENCH 1.66.406.1 ROM upgrade, via Bootloader and USB connection, and ... YES, IT WORKED !!!

Yihaaa, i'm saved, otherwise my wife was going to kill me for braking a brand new 500 euro smartphone !

But, there I was again stuck with the French rom, while I am dutch-speaking and prefer my phones in English !

So, with the HSPL2 still in place, I re-re-flashed using the Official WWE ROM 1.66.405.2 upgrade from HTC website
==>thanks to the thread "[TUT] Flashing your First GSM 512LEO Rom (For Noobs)" for the serial number that allowe d me to download this.

So a BIG BIGGER BIGGEST thank you to all of you writers of this usefull info.
you really saved my life and made my day :D

P.S. Now I have another question:
This was my first and bad experience with a Custom or Cooked ROM, so I am a little bit affraid now.

Can someone suggest a 100% reliable custom ROM with cute goodies ?
--> must be compatible with the HD2 T8585 (512 MB ROM);
-->--> HSPL2 1.66 EX
-->-->--> Radio 15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07

you must flash radio!!!!!!!!!!!!! than its go!
today i have some problem, but now it is OK with radio 2.10.....

RADIO_2.10.50.26 from tmous 2.13 (576mb ok)
RADIO_2.10.50.28_2 from rom 1.78 (576mb ok)

when ROM flashing, it says:

CAN NOT OPEN THE REQUESTED FILE


my htc is down now, cannot access it...why do I get this message?

I get first error 238, and when using other rom I get error 240.
What am I doing wrong?

there is no such thing as a tmous 1.78 rom, that radio is from the korean rom. (well, i think KR is korea. Its an asian rom wherever its from.)
So far it is the only radio that has been released with a ..50.. code that did not come from a tmous rom.
