Do you remember which radio ROM you upgraded from?
Hehe... maybe you can downgrade again just to verify the difference

Default battery life

well i am using the stock radio that came with the 1.61 rom and the battery life isn't to bad. i unpluged the leo this morning at 5:33am and it was at 100%, it is now 12m and i'm at 84%. i have my hotmail and gmail set to retrieve every 30 minutes and text quite a bit. i think it could even better now that i have set the activesynq to manual versus the default every 60 minutes. we'll have to wait and see.

i am still very curious to what the tmous radio would offer. kind of hesitating flashing it sense it is from a test only rom. anybody else tried this radio and what were the results.

Default flashed to 2.06 after all

OK, I see all the US folks chicken out and wait for someone else to be the first...

So I did flash to 2.0.6.

First impression - 4 bars ! I used to have 3 with the 2.0.5 but does it mean call quality is better/same? Don't know yet.

Battery life- too early to tell. Will report in a day or two

One scary part was that the flashing went from 0% to 96% in less than 10 seconds, then stopped for a loooooooooooonnnnnnnnngggg time, until it got to 100%. Since it was my first HSPL, it spooked me. So if you guys try it, give it time to complete. Don't touch it.

As promised- flashing the radio with HSPL did not hard reset the ROM...

Who's next?

Actually you are wrong my friend =]
I had 2.06 for a while (Page 5 of this thread). For me it wasn't so good. I'm currently testing 2.04.

Just an update, overall signal quality is better and the battery looks like its lasting 10% better than usual.

Still testing, but first impressions are good

Default My experience with the different radio's

Hi,

At the moment i'm using the latest PDAVIET (6.5.3) ROM, but with the Itje ROM the experience was the same.
I've tried al the radios available in the first post. All the Radio ROM's except the one that was on my phone initially Leo_RADIO_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50_22_2 give me very bad data reception. With all the other ROM's i can only get GPRS. All tested on different locations. Normally i have 3G/HSDPA.

Rgrds,

I've tested the battery consumption on my HD2 with radio v2.06.51.07 which is included with the stock Rom v1.61.

I'm here on the Telfort/KPN Dutch network on the 3G/HSDPA band. I'm polling my (3) mailboxes every 20 minutes, with a schedule started on 7AM and stops on 10PM. 3G connections are terminated after 1 minute of idling (via the reg tweak). I have non Sense features updating automatically.

7:40 - 100% - HD2 pulled from the charger
9:40 - 96% - Manualy updated weather through Sense
10:40 - 92% - 5min phone call and reading a pocketword doc.
11:40 - 89% - 10min phone call
12:40 - 79% - 29min phone call
13:40 - 77% - 1 SMS send
14:40 - 74% - idle in standby
15:40 - 72% - idle in standby
16:40 - 69% - 5min MSN activity
17:40 - 62% - 3 phone calls with a duration of 7min avg.
21:30 - 54% - idle in standby
22:30 - 44% - 3 SMS send, 1 softreset just for the fun and some MSN activity

Then I went to bed and left the HD2 during the night in standby.. no 3G activity took place. Then this morning

10:27 - 26% - In bed and this morning I've browsed the internet through Opera and read some email. Also send 2 SMS messages
15:00 - 8% - Now I'm plugging my HD2 in the wall again.

The HD2 gave me 1,5 day. I think this is pretty exactable because of the heavy email polling with a 20 minute interval. Some average phone call activity. Just give it a try

Further update, went to sleep at 1:30am with batter on 100%, woke up at 7:30am with battery showing 97% - Very good I would say.

Since 7:30am I have sent recieved 5 txt msgs, sent 6 messages, made a 2min call, recieved a 10min call, and have fiddled with the phone for about 20mins - battery is now (13:38) at 90%.

My phone since 1:30am is set to GSM mode, I have WIFI off, and have the Power Saving option in BSB tweaks on.

Signal at my desk at work is much better, usually I'm on 0-2 GSM bar, I'm currently on fluctuating between 2-4 GSM bars.

Overal very impressed with the 2.06.51.07 Radio, have definitely noticed a marked improvement
