Default Problems with retrieving account info from TMO?

Ive been trying all day to buy the phone for $180 subsidized price, but when prompted to see if i qualify for an upgrade, the check hangs and then tells me that the tmobile servers are either busy or unreachable, then google tells me to buy the unlocked phone. anyone else having this problem? im a g1 owner, with the data plan already a part of my subscription, and i want to know if i can just sign another 2 year contract to get this phone for less than the half-grand it costs unlocked. anybody else?

Just keep trying. I had been trying all day to order and was getting the same issue. It finally went through about 10 minutes ago. It showed me I could only get $150 of the price of $530 because I was upgrading and existing line. I called Tmo and basically told me to piss off and they have no control.

So I ended up doing the option to add a line to my plan and it gave me the $180 price.

thanks for the reply... it seems as though some people are getting through. i fear i might have to spend about 350 on the phone though... considering im a current g1 owner with the proper data plan already.

The $350 was a bit to much for me as well. If your current line is out of contract just do the option to add a new line to your account on the google site. Once you get the phone call T-Mobile and cancel your old line and tell them to submit a "request old number back" request. Within 24 hours your original number will replace the new number you were given. When that's done everything will be the same as before except you will have a contract.

That should work fine. I worked in tmobile customer care for the last 4 years up until June.
