flash artemis version 40+

I have finally done it properly but just wanted to give a more thorough pointer as to how to get this spl 3.03. I know that it says so on the first page but I could not find how to do it. The fact that I was able to install the 3.14 on my unbranded hd2 with hspl still on, only added to my confusion.
The way to do it, in lovely detail, is described in post 26465. You can find a link to it in the signature of member sb2003 in this forum. I just hope this helps some unclued people like me.

WP7 lacks a thousand "enterprise" features that people like me plain and simply CANNOT forgive. It will eventually patch them back in (if it survives long enough) but right now even MSFT knows WP7 is not there to fill the shoes of WM6.5... it is there to fill the consumer space. This is why MSFT themselves have their own "enterprise" alternatives ALREADY:

- WM6.5.3 will stay alive for at least one more year.

- "Handheld" OS is coming with a version based on WM6.5 and soon an even newer one.

Anyway, this it's not a matter of "if we like WP7". WP7 is like iPhone 1 with some non-iPhone features and modernization (like deep integration between some sub-systems and the cloud). No thanks. (yet)

+1 - I've also played with WP7 on a HTC HD7. "Lady's phone" is the right description! This new operating system must be developed further a few generations to come near WinMo 6.5.5 or Android. We had a similar discussion in this forum a few month ago - or let's say a.K. (ante Kuzibri ) - in this discussion we all agreed that WinMo will live for at least one year (I think two) and that otherwise Android is the better alternative. The comparison of WP7 with the first iPhone release is right. And ... never use the first version of any software!

Yes, it would´nt surprise me either, but you know that I love CHTS, so I need my CHT, which I also like very much - but hey, who knows, I could even keep them with that new Artemis ROM
BTW I like that new avatar of your´s. It reminds me of a Boxer I had when I was still a kid, well let´s say a lot younger

i think, i have to be a fashion girl in a managers suite in a scientist suite than.. couse i'd love to try new stuff... i thought, that we all are... here in this forum... ... if the new op system must be developed further... let us be a part of this

I also like new stuff and I agree: We are here to be part of further developments. But we all think of a further development to be a step forward - and under this perspective WP7 may be a further development but in the moment it is a step backwards. Also no compare to Android which is a real unix multitasking operating system like WinMo 6.5.5. So, if Microsoft terminates WinMo, Android will be the only alternative - at least in the moment.

Thank you for the complimet about the Avatar, unfortunately this very beloved dog died 10 months ago on the age of 13. Altthough this is a nice age for such a dog, I still miss her every day!!

ok. as i haven't tested winmo 7, i can't tell anything about it... maybe it's a bad os right now... i was just curious... and i just like the idea of having this on our hd2s! the first person i think of to make this work is sir sternas... so i hoped that this might be a possibility in the future... really, i believe you if you say, it's not a good os... but if it is syncing with outlook... my contacts and appointments, that's business enough for me... ... and, after all, v41 is called discovery... imagine what discovery v(winmo)7 would be! (ok... you might say: a bad one.... ... .. )

Thanks for the compliment about the new Avatar, but unfortunately she died ten monts ago and I still miss here very much every day therefore she became my new Avatar, although I have now two new dogs (I have always had two dogs). She is not replacable, so I write this message with tears in my eyes.

BTW, you can also sync your contacts and your appointments (and more) with Android with HTC Sync 3.0.5481 - works good!
