Waiting for new v.67 I installed WM7 on my HD2.
It's beautiful, but it's no good for me.
When I try to reinstall original ROM to go next on v.66, I do this following:
Step by Step Guide
1-At PC, right click and open official HTC HD2 ROM with 7-Zip.
2-Copy ‘RUU_signed.nbh’ to desktop.
3-Rename it to ‘leoimg.nbh’.
4-Copy leoimg.nbh to SD card (root level).
5-Double confirm leoimg.nbh file is located at root level of SD card.
6-Power off phone.
7-Press volume down button (don’t let go) and power on your phone.
8-It will load into ‘Red, Green, Blue and White’ screen bootloader.
9-Let go volume down button when you see ‘loading…’.
10-Then ROM upgrade screen will be loaded.
11-Press power button to start update the ROM.
12-ROM update process will take around 15 minutes.
13-Take off the battery after update success, then put it back on.
14-Power on your phone.
15-First time booting preparation process will take around 4 minutes.
16-Then follow phone onscreen instructions to setup.
That’s all.
Well, I never see "loading" (point 9).
How much have I to wait for, with vol down press, to see "loading"?
Sure I mistake something, but I don't know where...
There is another way to have v.66 again?
I have installed HSPL 2.08 and Malgdr 1.13.
Thank you very much, mauro
Just get into the bootloader screen (hold volume down and press start button). The ruu file needs to be on your computer not on your sd crad. Do not rename it. Just double click and follow the prompts it will install the hd2 rom and reboot.
I sometimes find Activesync goes mad with very high CPU usage with phone disconnected from Computer. Only happens on occasions, not sure of the cause, must be a bad sync or something, but when it happens battery drains in a few hours.
If I suspect a bad sync, I now use task manager to check activesync cpu usage, if high I kill activesync and then no issues with battery life.
Same here. If activesync is used the battery gets very hot and the device dies within one hour. I use it just for a quick sync, the I switch activesync off and re-charge the battery. Sometimes a reboot is required.

Hi Colint
So when I am into the bootloader screen I must connect usb cable ("serial" become "USB") and I can double click the file RUU_Leo_S_HTC_ITA_3.14.408.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2. 15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship
and installation starts?
I solved by SD Card formatting it in FAT32, but I like what you say...
Thanks, mauro

Hi Mauro,
if you have the leoimg.nbh file in the root of your SD Card, the only thing you have to do is enter bootloader screen en follow instructions on tne screen, no USB connection needed.

before I'm able to answer your question as good as possible, I have a a few questions for you with regards to battery life:
1. How do you use your HD2, e.g. intensively with a lot of videos, games, etc?
2. How old is your battery
3. When was the last time you formatted your SD Card??
very best regards, KUzibri
Hi Kuzibri,
at first, thanks for the response.
When I use my HD2 it's merely to check email, use TomTom Navigator, and browse for a bit. all in all about 1 - 2 hours of real use.
My HD2 is 1,5 years old, and the battery about 2 - 2,5 years (phone was replaced after repair, had to keep original battery)
My SD Card is formatted 1 day before I last used it.
Maybe it's because i use 3G and WiFi alot..
When using TomTom I already expect the battery to die fast seeing that GPS sucks massive amounts of power..
But I also expect that the LCD screen on the HD2 isn't very power-friendly.. When on android, the battery report shows the screen to be a large consumer of battery power.
What do you think?
HTC Artemis, Kaiser: Deceased
HTC Leo, Vision, Pyramid LE: Retired
Google Nexus 7: ParanoidAndroid
Samsung Galaxy Camera: Stock
Sony Xperia Z : Stock .253, Rooted

Yep, you're right - Android is battery hungry.
Do you use battery saving software? I use since ages Advanced Config for that and I works very good. Just Google it. If after installing, you need help with the most optimal settings for your HD2, just PM me and I will send you the settings I also use for ages and found out by trial and error.
