Default Missing pixel!!

So I opened my phone and as soon as I opened up a white screen, I noticed a nagging MISSING PIXEL! I know it's a bit paranoid but one would expect their product not to have any effects after dropping close $600 on it...

I called HTC and their warranty department says there are 2 options: 1) they can send a new phone, or 2) repair this one. Taking the first option, they would charge my credit card full price of the phone for the time being, then send out a new phone and I send mine back. Once they realize the defect, they will refund the money. If you send it in for repair, not only are you out of the Nexus One for 2 weeks, but they also charge a $28 service fee (nonrefundable), and in the end probably replace the phone anyway. I'll probably take option 1.

Anyone have missing pixels? (Try looking at some blank white screen to analyze)

I am afraid to check. If I do and I find one, it will drive me crazy. I sent back 2 dell flat screens in a row because of a dead pixel on each of them.

I suppose I better find out now, and not when its too late to do something about it.

Which is fine, but checking is a good idea. You can get a pixel fixing app on the Market that helps you test for dead or weak pixels. If you find one, then tell them to send you a replacement.
