mytouch 3g:"2.0 please?"

droid and nexus one are words that keep ringing in the back of my head, and yes i get it, the g1 is not getting the 2.1 and prob not 2.0. BUT will the mytouch get any updates at all? 2.0? maybe 2.1??? the newer android phones are getting all the attention and frankly im disappointed. i just bought this mytouch in september and it is already cutting it close on an update. what do you guys think? will it happen?

it may get 2.0/2.0.1 (no official word yet), but thats where it will end. With Android OS 2.1, google introduced new cosmetic features native to the OS (live wallpapers, new home menu, etc.). These new features require a powerful CPU/GPU to run smoothly, and high amount of RAM, especially being integrated into the home screen.

The mytouch 3g and g1 are definatly unable to handle this mainly because of the low amount of onboard RAM and less powerful CPU.
