I just hate seeing "Deleting Files ..." in recovery like 80 times LOL

Couldn't you just set the script to remove all of the odex files and then all of the APK's in that folder would be overwritten by yours? Just wondering if the APKs even need to be deleted first. Just thinking of options. :)

Yup! That's essentially what I'm suggesting ... and there's like 80 somethin .odex files to be deleted.

If that included apk's ... the number woulda been more like 150 somethin.

The update script doesn't except wildcards in the delete commands, that's the real kicker, so no "delete *.odex".

On 2nd thought ... it might be scriptable via the runcommand (or something like that) in recovery. Similar to how cyan backs up the gapps on his g1/mt3g mod.

I'll take a look at it. As that would be a much better solution than randomly including apps in themes and/or nuking the entire app and framework directories.

If I can swing it ... I'll update the templates.

Beutiful widget is the clock I am using and I will be adding theme to all the apps in the app folder so thats why I did not remove ill just add the stuff in framework that supports moto apps thats the prob it wont remove apps by installing a theme if not all your apps would be gone.

probably have already tried this and not sure if this would help, or even work in that environment, but maybe a workaround? Still uses wildcard but not directly as it would replace the variable with the resulting stdout of the executed command:

for x in `ls /path/*odex`; do rm $x; done

or if everything in a dir but no wildcard:

for x in `ls /path/`; do rm $x; done

Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, except some of us are pushing the corporate calendar there, so then when we flash the theme it gets removed. Would it be possible to either 1) edit the script so that it don't mess with the /system/app folder, 2) input the individual files to be deleted and readded as opposed to a *, or 3) add the MotoCAL.apk to your theme build?

Thanks for the great theme! :)
Me and 3 others would love this. Or at least a second version that inludes MotoCAL.apk
