Default What is AOSP??

Well.. This might sound noobish, but what is AOSP??
I've searched the forum and google before posting.. Everyone's saying that Eclair is now AOSP.. What is AOSP exactly??

Thanks

I actually remember passing by this expression but I thought that was the name of the forum (duh!)

So when they say that Eclair is now AOSP they mean that it is now open source?

To be honest, if they still aren't convinced after an entire year, I don't think telling them again will help.

There was no "Thanks" button, so I thought I'd just say it. Thanks
