Default Can we disable the Camera to get another 32M RAM allocated for Camera?

Can we disable the Camera to get another 32M RAM allocated for Camera?

I rarely used the camera, I think if another 32M RAM can be used by system, then we can run more application.

Any idea?

We never had 32MB more ram from the 10MB ram hack, no taking cam off will not give more ram.

Ram=Random access memory totally diff from rom or what the hell your thinking of.But if you really want more ram i think you should get a new phone or something cause taking cam off aint gonna help the ram.
Current: LG Nexus 4(16GB) : SaberMod + Air Kernel #10
Past: G1(Backup)-> Mytouch3GS(Sold) -> SideKick4G(Traded) -> MyTouch4G(Sold) -> Sensation 4G(Sold) -> Galaxy Player 5"(Sold)

As I knew, the G1 has 192Mb of Memory.

8Mb fast memory is allocated to graphics GPU0
8Mb RAM is allocated to graphics GPU1
32Mb RAM is allocated for Camera, Media processor etc
1 Mb is allocated to the framebuffer (screen buffer)
2 Mb is mapped to be shared
19 + 32Mb is used by the baseband (AMSS)
7 Mb is used by the kernel
88Mb is left usable in android.

What I want to do is that disable the camera in the kernel or system module.

Well no we didn't get 32MB extra, but reallocating the Camera RAM in kernel is possible although it wouldn't give hardly any boost. The problem is it would also likely disable sound & several other things, since it doesn't have its own allocated section, just a "shared" section for Camera, Sound, things like that.

Thanks for the clarifying.

Any ideas about how to reduce the "shared" section by disabling the camera?

But if you have no sounds how will you hear the ringer or other media things?
