Default Wireless Tether resets phone upon stopping

I use wireless tether sometimes. When it is running, it works great. The phone doesn't get too hot, and the battery keeps charging. However, about 50% of the time, when I hit "Stop tethering" the phone resets. Does anyone else experience this?

I've seen this as well, but only if the computer is still connected to the adhoc network. Make sure you disconnect before stopping the service.

The client is either an iPod Touch or Lenove T61 w/Windows 7.
