Default Account problems

Hi!
I just recently moved all my contacts and calendar to my gmail account, and it worked fine for a couple of days. It then started with that I was unable to create Google contacts (only SIM and Phone was available). I checked the data synchronization, which said that there was some error with the contacts synchronization. Then I followed some advice on the Internet about clearing the data on the "Google Apps" application, to be able to try to sign in to Google once again. But now I'm stuck. I cannot sign in, which means I cannot use market, and my calendar and contacts are unavailable. When I try to sign in with my Google account I get this message (after a minute or so):

"Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If this continues, call Customer Care".

I've tried with both WLAN and over the mobile data net (Which both works in the browser, and in maps etc.).

Anyone has an idea which does not involve a hard reset?

Thanks!

i hope someone else does, but AFAIK, there is no solution that does not involve a hard reset.....

Hmm.. Strange. I did not skip the initial registration when i bought the phone, and the account have never struggled before, so I wanted to re-sign in, and this seemed to be the only way.

it's a bit of a bug unfortunately.

On the hero, the sign in only seems to work in the initial set up.
if you skip it or if you do the clear storage later on like you have, it seems to lose it's ability to link to the google servers correctly and you get that message. I don;t know of a way round it, but i hope that someone else does...

Yeah, I really hope so. It seems a little stupid to have to wipe the phone completely every time Google decides that they don't want to synchronize with my gmail account anymore...

Is there anyone else who has an idea?
