Does the stock battery cover close fully or is it like the Hero battery where it slightly open?

Are you asking about the "ebay" batteries? If so, yes the back cover closes completely, fits like a glove, or more like a battery

Yes, I was talking about the ebay battery cause I know the Hero battery doesn't.

Just bought the 2000 mAh battery for the touch pro or whatever it was that someone linked here. I'll report back if it fits or not.

I've got two of those on their way right now. Seemed like for 10 bucks shipped you could hardly go wrong, especially since they claim to be genuine HTC batteries. We shall see.

I tried one of the 1500 mAh batteries in my Eris(pulled it out of a Imagio from work). I wasn't able to get the sides snapped down with this battery in. Just seems a hair too big.

Well, they're coming from Hong Kong, so I might get them next week. I'll see how they fit when they get here and report back.

My new 1500mah Ebay batteries showed up tonight from Hong Kong. They appear to be genuine HTC batteries (or they're good counterfeits), and fit with no issues of any kind. I'll have to get back to you on battery life. I'll give them a couple days and see how they do compared to the stockers. For $9.99 apiece shipped, I can hardly complain at this point.
