Default com.google.process.gapps + cannot download market apps

OK, so I tried to get rid of Amazon mp3 store and other stock apps using root explorer, and I guess I deleted a wrong file. Now I keep getting the com.google.process.gapps has stopped working error and I cannot download apps from the market place. Also a full wipe/factory reset won't fix it. I realize I'm a newb and shouldn't have been messing with those files, but any help would be appreciated.

Did you do a NAND backup? Reboot into recovery and do a NAND restore.

You can do a no-wipe update, aka flash, any ROM of your choice! Check out Modaco, he has a full ROM that, IIRC, has those removed already for you.
Current:
Me: LG Thrill, rooted, et al
Wife: Infuse, slaps my hand away before I can root it...

SUCCESS! All I needed to do was flash my system.img back to stock and I fixed it. Thanks for the input though, now I now to make backups before I go tinkering!

Hey zeroONEex,
I did the same thing with my phone. How do you flash wipe the ROM? Or how you fixed your issue?

Try to flash a new ROM, that should fix it.

If you have custom recovery like cwm or amon Ra you can flash it via recovery
