this is not Froyo based
search is your friend

Cyanogen i think said the first Froyo build will be CM6 and won't happen until the source drops which it hasn't yet
When it does i'm sure you will see this forum go into meltdown

I re-flashed the 5.0.8 stable, text on the epub files garbled again. Is the new kernel changing the internal text reader? I have changed language to different versions of english. The actual text files are untouched by the installation process, so there is something in the 5.0.8 install that changed the way that these files are opened or the way that things on the sdcard are processed.

Please help. I am going back to test 5 as it worked perfectly on the phone with test 5.
I'm getting similar issues with FBReader. It worked OK in 5.0.8-t5. I flashed 5.0.8 over 5.0.8-t5 (cm and gapps) without wiping and FBReader failed. Garbled text and sigsegv errors in logcat. After that, I wiped data and sd-ext and installed a fresh 5.0.8 with new gapps but I keep having the same issue with the fonts.

It's getting the sigsegv in some code related with libskia, that I think is the library for 2d graphics. Seems that something has changed in the c++ libraries.

When I have both enabled and am in an WiFi area, I only got the WiFi icon.
Once I leave the WiFi area, 3G/H icon pops up.
It was laways like that for me.

I don't know why it would be crashing though. The changes in the CM version of Skia are pretty minimal and mostly consist of ARMv7/NEON code in the rendering path. I'll run it with GDB later and see if I can find anything obvious, but I can't promise anything.
Thanks Cyanogen - appreciate it. I guess this is really their job to update it, i'll email them. In the meantime i've found another reader, whilst not as nice to use s fbreaderj, allows me to keep up my book worming habbits
