Default Irritating Handcent symbol issue.

Does anyone else get an error message that flashes at you in Handcent when you try and send a text with certain characters in such as a "£" sign?
It says it will corrupt the message if I send it with that symbol to any other carrier apart from T-Mobile.
LOL. As if other carriers don't support the Pound sign

It says:
"Compatibility Warning:
Your sms include some special character(RED BACKGROUND), if you send it from T-Mobile to other carriers,it will cause the message can't go through
*text box* £ *text box* "

The pound sign is highlighted red if you're wondering where the "RED BACKGROUND" came from :P
And I copied the message exactly, grammar mistakes included.

Is there a way to disable it?

The developer is currently working on that exact issue. He told me that he is trying to get all of the special characters working carrier to carrier.
Phone: Galaxy S 3
ROM: I build my own from CM source
Theme: DarkJelly
Recovery: TWRP

Yes, I get this too. It's a total pain and it doesn't sound like the dev is trying too hard to fix it. I may be forced back to Chomp.
