XDANDROID page has some information on this issue:
"Update to the latest rootfs and zImage/modules to get it working if you are looping in boot animation"

Never had this problem so don't know if it will fix yours...

Phusson or any of the developers can give some insight on this if they can. How is it possible for the iphone to have a mostly functional android running with sound and all and it seems harder to pull off on htc hardware whose components are pretty close to android phones already out there. One would think that should be harder on the iphone?? I do little programming but am a total noob when it comes to Linux.

iPhone hardware is pretty much stuff that already exists somewhere else too with linux running. Their only problems are like us: the radio software, and on this point they aren't much advanced either. Still, their radio software hasn't decades of history lagging behind which make it totally ugly. And that's also the only difference between android devices and wince devices. Android devices has a "cleaner" radio software, so even if we had sources of missing stuff, we wouldn't be able to use it (no, android on htc devices is not open, it lacks many sources.)

I'm having problems so far with android. I tried out the 2.1 sense (cab) version but it didn't work. I downloaded it straight to my storage card. Then I went to file explorer and installed it. Then I reset the device after it was done. After that I made a quicklink of the android. I set all of it up with the correct keyboard and it went into the black screen with all the tiny white letters. It never got out of this though. I waited about 30 minutes and I still never got past that so I just reset. Now I'm trying the normal 2.01 version and seeing if that's any different.

In due time. Patients is a virtue. Anyone know how to get the in call volume any louder? I see it mentioned in text a few times but never any answers. I can make this a 100% android use with a louder in call volume. If you can at least point me in the right direction, I will perform any test or operations required. Please help. Thanks

I keep trying to run android and it never works. I've tried both the rar's and cab's and neither will work. The black screen comes up with the small white text but it always repeats. One of the first lines of the repaeating code is "task rpcrouter:15 blocked for more than 120 seconds" and then a ton of code after it. It just keeps displaying one after the other and doesn't stop even after about a half hour. Any ideas? Thanks.

It did that to me on my apparently slow 8G card, even though it's specced as a Class 6. I put my Class 6 4G card in there and Android did the initial work and booted right up.

BTW, check to see if your SD card is corrupted now.. Mine always had problems when it stalled like that and I lost some data. I haven't had any trouble since using my 4G, except less music available in WM.. So keeping backups of the card is a good idea.

class 6 should be fine.

Class 6 should be fine, yes, but repeated attempts to use this 8G Class 6 card always hung and corrupted itself, necessitating me to reformat and restore the files.

My 4G class 6 I've used Android about 70% of the time for about two weeks now and not a hitch.

This clearly indicates my 8G might not really be Class 6.. It is a "Patriot" brand.
