Default Got an Omnia II! But it's the bell version :(

I got an Omnia II off ebay for $400 and was pretty happy at the time. I figured I coudl just go online and buy an unlock code after I got it. After getting it, I learned that Bell Omnia II's cannot be unlocked through third party providers

Apparently, you have to be a bell customer for 30 days and pay them $75.

I stumbled upon this craigslist ad:

http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/mob/1600621866.html

These people claim they can unlock it manually, but since I'm in the US, I'd have to mail it to them. Has anyone dealt with this company before? I'm wary of sending a phone off to a shop in another country.

Do I have any other options at this point? Or would I be better off selling it in the marketplace here.

EDIT: Would a rebel sim work? It says it supports the omnia II but I'm not sure if it'll work for the Bell Omnia II (since regular Omnia II's can be unlocked remotely, but not the Bell Omnia II)

Would it affect 3G performance in any way? Also, did you get the cut or non-cut version?
