What build and what kernel are you using ?
It was not about the OS, but the people behind it

Default Sketchy SD card

Hey, I've been trying to install Android on my Vogue (tried both with the Froyo and Warm Eclair versions) but when I get to step 15, I tell it to install and it runs through a few lines of code (it looks like it doesn't see my SD card, I spotted a line that said the file path wasn't there) and returns to the install menu. I ran it once without any SD card at all and it looked like the same text.

SO, my question is: is it definitely the SD card that's sketchy? Should I get a new one? The one I'm using now is some random Japanese brand.

Also, barring buying a new Micro SD, is there a way to finish the last two steps over USB?

Thanks for your help!!

Did you try booting after install? There are some permissions fixes at the end of install that try some nonexistent directories. It may have worked fine.

DONATE TO ME
Can someone help me get past step 12? I followed all the instructions correctly but i can seem to see where it says "Hold down Volume Up or D Pad". and it just hangs at where it says: "Rebooting in 3 seconds.."

Default sd card apps/ gps

I just upgraded from booting android from my sd card to nand, and it is 100 times better. But I have a few questions regarding this:

1) Is there any way to access the gps receiver in the vogue in android nand yet?

2) Is there any way to expand the internal memory of the phone to run apps off of the sd card?

I apologize if these questions have been addressed earlier in the thread, I haven't read through it all.

thanks

1. Yes. Which carrier? Verizon can be a pain.

2. sort of, froyo can offload certain apps to the sdcard. Also, search for apps2sd.
