Default Confused Downloaded ROM 1.66, HD2 says 1.48

Iīm a little bit confused now: I downloaded ROM-Update Ver. 1.66 from the German HTC-Support-Website and installed it.

Now - when installing all these wonderful tweaks from XDA - I looked up the Page "Software-information" and I read now:

OS: 5.2.21869
Manila: 2.5.1921
ROM-Date: January 11th 2010 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROM-Version: 1.48.407.1. xxxxx GER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rechecked in my files: I updated ROM on Feb. 3rd with HTC-ROM-Update 1.66
Rechecked on HTC-Support-site: still reads ROM-Upgrade 1.66 on Feb. 2nd 2010 (which I installed !)

How the heck does this come ?

(Now I donīt wonder anymore why some tweaks donīt work on mine )

Yes, Eddy !

I backed up entire ROM/RAM/System State with SPB Backup, did the ROM-Update and saved back with SPB-Backup after successful ROM-Upgrade.

Shouldnīt I have proceeded like this ?

Tx in advance for Your taking care of me

thats probably the issue, you have restored registry/system settings fromthe old rom

ideally you should just back up the contacts, txts etc but not the system files

It's usually a bad idea to do restores from different ROM versions, e.g. 1.48 to 1.66 in your case. Sucks, but the problems you'll avoid are worth it.
