Hi,

I flash Task29 - Stock Rom - Hard Reset - Task29 again - Custom Rom - Hard Reset.

After that, I found that there is still some sms remaining in the fresh ROM. How is it possible? Anyone has suggestion, please?

The remaining sms is the one which saved in your sim card, i guess.
Task29 only format your x1 internal memory, not including sim card contents.

I guessed that so. Then I removed my sd and repeat all the step. The result is the same. That's annoying.

Not the SD card, sometimes some texts are saved in the sim card.

Just did this, and new ROM seems to be installing just fine (@33% atm).

First i got an error, then i removed the SIM card and it worked just fine. Also turned of the WIN XP SP3 compability mode (had it activated at first). Not sure if the compability was the problem or not. Using Win7 x64 Ultimate and set all *.exe files to run as admin.

Default win7 issue solution

Found the solution to the win7 issue, at least on x86: for some reason the usb sync driver isn't always automatically installed when you plug in the phone. To fix this go to the tricolor boot menu on your phone (first remove your sd card as this didn't work for me when the phone went to the "press power to install rom" screen), and connect it to your pc.
If in the device manager under usb you see an unknown device try again, the phone should be recognized under other devices as a Qualcomm MSM device. If you see that with a yellow circle on it simply right click and update driver. A Microsoft USB Sync driver will be installed and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing Agent47.

It seems to really make a difference using this tool after a couple of ROM flashes.

I get Error 262 when running Task29; I've done no changes to the binaries in the (official) zip file. The program states 'update error, communication errors during the update process'

Any ideas as to what might be the issue? Running Win 7 32 bit, have marked all the binaries in the Task29 folder to run as in compatibility mode with XP SP3.

Thanks!
