Default Win7 on IQ

Does anyone know if the LG IQ 825 (Telus) can run Windows Phone (7)?

It's unlikely

There's no multi-touch which is apparently a requirement. It's possible one of the geniuses on xda will manage to hack around that ... we shall have to wait and see

i don't understand why it'd be a requirement... there's only like a few things that utilize it atm rite? like picture zooming and web browser zooming? or are there loads of other things to do with multi-touch?

The problem I'd assume we'll see is that if the OS expects multitouch, everything "on top" of it will as well....I have faith in the geniuses here at xda, but I gotta imagine that's going to be a big hurdle to hack out/around.

I think the main issue here is going to be lack of a capacitive display and lack of official drivers for WP7S.

Let's put it this way: if it doesn't get ported to the HD2, I doubt you'll see it on here.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus GSM - CM10.1
Asus Nexus 7 Google I/O White - KRAKD-7 v1.0
HP TouchPad 32GB - CM9
Former: HTC HD2 T9193, Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Impression, HTC Tilt, Motorola C139

i rather have a dual boot android/ wimo phone than windows phone 7. windows phone 7 is too locked down only thing i like is the zune marketplace part.

the tp2 has android dual boot http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/11/h...loves-it-vide/
so i was thinking it could be done on the expo. wimo 6.5 really makes a 1ghz cpu feel slow and 256mb ram feel like nothing.

The initial leaked information for the LG Monaco was that it was going to be a Windows Mobile 7 phone...

http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=4580

Which explains the lack of a stylus.

It would seem that Windows Mobile 7 was talking too long, so LG slapped on WM 6.5 and included an external stylus.

The only way we would get Windows Mobile 7 now, is if LG decides it is worth the effort. I don't believe it has been that great of a seller, so I can't imagine them doing that, but you never know.
