Smile HTC HD2 US on sell now...

you can purchase it now on the T-mobile website or at Wirefly.com. I tried Walmart and Radio Shack and still no go. I am tempted, but going to try the store first in a few hours.
~*I had an HD2, hence my user name then went to a mytouch 3g slide, and a Nexus One, but now currently using a Samsung Vibrant!*~

T-mobile's website won't let you outright just buy the phone without a contract. They want you to purchase it at the store.

This is the error I got:

You have a wireless package in progress. To finish building your package, select a plan and add it to your cart.

See plans ›

To purchase equipment only (without a rate plan) please visit your local T-Mobile Retail Store

edit:

wirefly is charging a lot more ($540) vs t-mobile's retail stores: $450....no contract prices of course.

That's true and that sucks. Sorry forgot to mention that.

Was thinking of purchasing this phone with the even more plus plan and then when I receive the phone I would cancel... But would I be charged the ETF? Assuming no since the even more plus plan does not require a contract. Trying to do this with the 35% bing cashback they have and not to sure if I want to try it. It would save me $450-$157*35% from bing* + $35 activation fee + $11 overnight shipping which would equal to $339. Not to sure if the hassle is worth it as well...

In order to get 35% cash back from Bing you would have to wait 60 days. This is the time it requires to make sure the phone has not been returned before then.

I have checked and Tmobile HD2 off-contract ($449.99) version is requesting selection for Even More Plus plan - no option to purchase device only.
