3g sms odity

Hi I ran a search and did not see anything that looked like this so..
Usually on my phone I have a reception of 2 bars 3g. when i send an sms message my signal drops to 2 bars 1x. After the sms is sent it goes right back to 2 bars 3g.
Don't know if it is just a display glitch or if it is actually dropping 3g.
Does not happen when using browser.
Sometimes does it when receiving sms.
Anyone else have this peculiar behavior with their phone?

This is how Verizon's network works you are not seeing anything out of the ordinary. It is also why Verizon customers can't surf the web and talk at the same time like AT&T guys.
