Default T-mobile HD2 price released...hope Evo is priced lower

T-Mobile USA are offering their HD2 on an Even More plan for $199.99 ($250 online discount), or a contract-free Even More Plus plan for $449.99. Here's an article about it:

T-mobile HTC HD2

This is good news because I don't think the EVO will be priced higher than this phone. So far windows mobile phones are priced higher than android phones (coming the HTC hero phones and the touch pro2, or you can compare the samsung moment with the touch pro2)

I would LOVE a $450 price point. I heard someone talking $700-800, and I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. $450-550 sounds like the sweet spot.

That's actually not a bad price. The Nexus One w/o a contact is $529.00. So, by the time you get through your new contract discount and web special discount and mail in rebate it's in a very reasonable price bracket.

You hope the Evo is priced lower? I'm sure everyone wishes it would just be free, but it isn't realistic. The Evo is similar to an HD2 but with amped up camera, WiMAX capable, front facing cam, and of course android. Why would a far superior phone be priced lower? Would a supercharged v8 mustang be cheaper than the v6? Hells no.
