I hope that isn't tied to hard to verizon's network. The configuration is still based off skype lite.

What is the point of installing this on nexus one when there is skype lite available in the market area, which has same concept.. using network to make and receive calls, no wifi support... its crap..

Skype Lite doesn't use data but does cost minutes. This Skype works over the 3G data connection. You can use the app Fring for true VoIP on any Android phone.

Skype is being made for android in general, but this build might be locked to verizon voice network as some are saying.

We shall see!
