Not coming to UK shores until??

So from reading the posts on this site, the Evo 4G won't be hitting these shores (UK) until after the summer, if at all Right? And when it does it'll will probably be a 3G machine as I don't think we have the infastructure to support 4G in UK. I'm wondering what else will be lacking from the UK model? The Camera Doesn't bother me, and the processor isn't a big concern, so I'm wondering If I couold just buy an HD2 and get rid of WinMo and stick Android on it. Any ideas?? The Evo 4G looks amazing but I need a new phone now...

Im with u dude. I really want this phone to come to Europe. But right now we have no idea what will be and wont be included in the UK/Europe version (or even if its coming at all). If anything changes i hope its not the camera. The 8mp with 720p recording feature is important for me.

As for the HD2, im not too sure if you can install android on it right now. Maybe someone else here can clarify this? But even if there is a stable release of android for the HD2, i wouldnt buy the phone with the sole intention of wiping it and installing a new OS on it. I''ll just wait for HTC to release the EVo alternative for Europe.
