Default Music and sound

I have just downloaded some music apps, they are quite good. It lets me preview music and download it! Not bad!! (It is called freebe music)
However when i plugged my headphones in the top sound is not very very loud like other phones or my old archos.
Does anyone have any views on this

What are your best music apps.

I suspect the HTC Desire may be "volume crippled" by European Law. I believe there is (or soon will be) a maximum earphone volume level on all new devices.
Samsung Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S2
HP Touchpad
All with CyanogenMod 9

I was going to ask that too..... As the EU does have a maximum legal decibel limit, is it possible to find a way to change that so it can be louder through the headphones?
