Default Fix SU request blank screen.

Hi Just followed the wonderful instructions from
"Sticky: [Walkthrough] From stock (1.5) to rooted 2.1
ivanmmj" Thanks!

After I was done and installed any root app it would request su access but the screen would be blank no choice to allow or deny.

If this happens to you do not freak out there are some simple solutions to try first
  • Turn on USB Debugging. Settings -> Applications -> Development
  • connect your Eris to your pc
  • Try running a root program it should prompt you with buttons now.
If you still have issues try running an ADB command and check for root again.

Hope this helps someone.

It should actually be in the FAQ or official guide.

EVERY TIME you flash something new, unless the ROM is specifically already set up (many will be),

you need to use adb to 'su'.

Plug in phone. USB Debug > On. USB > Charge Only.

adb shell
su

or ./adb shell
su

allow/allow always.

Done.

Default I am not sure if I am rooted!

How do I tell if I am rooted. I did a re-boot, and not much happened after that. Phone does says that storage is low! What does that mean. I don't know much about this Rooting!
