how about not cooking the htc lockscreen in your rom? the reg that sets htc lockscreen as a custom lockscreen is here....try deleting the part in red and soft reset, maybe that will work im not sure.

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\Lock]
"CustomLockScreensMask"=dword:00000013
"CustomLockScreensPath"="\\Windows\\LockScreen"

I did not find these registry settings.
I tried to remove the htc lockscreen by removing the two lockscreen application packages in ext but lockscreen was still there.
Thanks for your reply!!

if you tried removing the htc lockscreen ext pkgs, the one that is still there is the ms 6.5 lockscreen if you want to get rid of it try deleting the cprs out of the ls pkgs in sys and see what happens.

Default Is there any way to totally get rid of lock screen?

After having tried the register control settings for lock screen disabling, and PocketShield type lock screen control apps, I am still unable to totally eliminate the HTC HD2 lock screen from coming on when powering up.

Is it possible to totally dump the lock screen? When I power up (or my scheduled app powers up) I do not want anylock screens getting in the way. Does one have to "cook" up special ROMS to get rid of the HTC or Microsoft locking function?

Thanks much.

With the registry edit of the above message you got no lock screen but just the ability to lock the phone.

Default Pretty good progress!

Thank you for the reply. Maybe I should have started new thread as my need might slightly different.

I am still looking for the total elimination of the lock screen(s) period. But in the mean time took another look at PocketShield. It has a nice configuration feature where one can select specific applications that when launched (in my case by the device OS scheduler) fire up without a lock screen. This is very close to what I need and looks like it will suffice. Thank you PocketShield!
