Default MediaScape forgetting faces

Hi,

I uploaded several photos of my friends, for the contact list. The phone found faces in many of the photos, and I tagged them with my friends' names from my contact list. However, after a while, the phone seems to forget most of the names! Most faces are again tagged as "unknown". Why is that? One hint could be that a few faces are tagged with the FIRST name that I chose from the phonebook. (I accidentally clicked the wrong name, then changed to the correct name. Now, the phone has switched back to the first name.) This has happened twice in 12 days. Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas on how to solve the problem?

Maybe the Face Recognition app/service was accidently closed/killed? I have yet to use the Face Recognition feature, but noticed it on TaskPanel apps-to-kill list.

Oh i can go one better than that my friends. Not only did i spend a small fortune of time taggin all of the faces only to have them all forgotten again. Some of them were randomly tagged with other peoples names. For example, One of the picutres of my girlfriend i had previously tagged had the tag changed to a member of my staff at work who i hadn't previously tagged in anything. very bizzare

did you have a contact picture for the person from work? mine seemed to do that also, but when i looked at the faces through squited eyes i could kind of see a resemblance to those it tagged the pic as. not sure if it is trying to match the photos with the contact pics maybe?

Haha are you trying to say that my girlfriend looks like a man? LoL Nah i don't have any pictures of this guy just got his phone number for when i need to get in contact with him (about work obviously) and so i couldn't quite understand it LoL. Plus the picture it had tagged him as my girlfriend, i'd already previously tagged her in. Some fluke glitch maybe.

Yeah, me too...

Anyone found a solution yet...?

I just logged a support email with SE, so hopefully they'll come back with something...

This issue was solved for me when not using an app killer any more ...

Is't this the purpose of face recognition ?? YES, it does not work very good for me as well !

May there be an update in Q2 2012 ! Please !

All issues with MediaScape/Face recognition I had was fixed when I updated the firmware to R1FB001.
