Default Trying to put custom rom on my omnia i920

Ok, I've read every forum from here all the way to modaco and I'm still unable to flash my rom. I did everything right down to a T as far as walk throughs, but Octans is not detecting my phone.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
I've changed the compatibility on Octans to XP SP3 and still no go
I'm running windows mobile 6.5 professional on the Omnia I920.

I really want to install Yardi's Custom Rom on my device but I'm starting to lose hope!

Please can someone help me out. I don't know what other info to put on here.

I installed VMWare 7 Workstation on my laptop. I also installed windows xp as a guest system.

So is there anyone who knows what I need to grab without going to modaco, because I am signed up with them, but it doesn't let me download anything that anyone posts as links. I have tried but have successfully failed.

I do plan on updating my xp to sp3 but I need to know everything I need to get my omnia i920 flashed to a kick butt rom.

Thanks in advance to everyone who can help.

What you need is available on modaco unfortunately.

Go here and read this thread www . modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-ii-gsm-rom-discussion/296019/flashing-using-64bit-windows-7/

I have attached the drivers you need to install. It is not an easy task but once it's done it's done. If you need help I'll try to help you, but please read the thread first.

Actually I got it working on windows xp sp3 installed on vmware...and have flashed my phone prob twenty times now lol. Only issue I have now is I was using Ninja's rom but I couldn't receive picture messages under it. So I flashed back to stock. Well I hate stock. Too much bloatware. I liked your rom AMD but it had some programs that I didn't want on there..and some that I did want on there. Cooking a rom for myself is impossible I've tried every direction on this site and modaco's but no luck.

Anyway I can get you to cook me a custom rom with some stuff taken off and some stuff added in?

I downloaded your new rom...I like how it looks. Ok, if you could base the rom off your current release but take off the following if you can:

Bing, Windows Live, Ferrari GT Evolution, Esmertec Jbed (don't even know what i can use that for lol), Pim Backup, O2 Flash, Sktools, and within office mobile can you delete all but word mobile?

I would like to have the bubble breaker game added back in, along with the fm radio, and since I am really not good at figuring things out yet, I love titanium is there a way to get it to work on your rom? And is it easy to put themes on here too? I tried some themes called colored lighting and it crashed the rom on ninja's.

Otherwise I am good ha ha. Thanks for trying to do this, sure wish I could figure out how to cook...i don't think it'll ever happen But I like your roms best outta Ninja's and Yardi. Yardi would be good, but she took the samsung keyboard out among other stuff I can't remember ha ha.

Thanks again. Can't wait to try it out!
