i have the same problem too, tried the copy /b method but it didn't work so well. I got 29min out of my 44min video, and only 22mins of the 29mins was playable. The remaining 7mins were continuous loops of the start of the video. Please anyone who has the 1.5 version share it with me. Thanks

[Scenario]
video.mp4 (200mb)
grau version 1.6 + (only does 50% of video for free version)

[Directions]
make 2 of the same video files and name them 1.mp4 and 2.mp4 this means you will copy video.mp4 in the same fold twice so you have two of them!

in DOS (Run: cmd.exe)

locate to the folder where you have the two video files
type in the command to merge the files together

copy /b 1.mp4+2.mp4

you will now see that 1.mp4 will be 400mb and not 200mb

now use grau video repair tool and it will do 50% of the file you merge. meaning you will get 100% video freee!!
I have the latest version 1.7.5.0 DEMO and following this instructions, works flawlessly... thanks so much.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a copy of the HD Video Repair Utility 1.5 freeware. I tried PM Quangy but no reply. Does anyone have a copy or a link they could send me? That'd be great, cheers

Default Big thanks!

Big thanks to ElYukiPR, tried the file merging trick and it worked a treat, great!

For those not familiar with DOS commands, when entering the "copy /b" command, you can drag the file (1.mp4) into the command so that it understands exactly where it's located, and then do the same with (2.mp4)

People need to learn how to share.

That said, if anyone gives me a copy of "HD Video Repair Utility 1.5" I'll make sure it get's into 3 more people's hands.

Note that there is a quite simple manual on the page too, how to use it.

I tried everything, I just can't get it working.

My problem is: My file is 3.4 Gigs, I don't know if that is the reason, but DOS does not double it with the copy /b command. It says it's successfully copied, but the file size is the same, so nothing happened.
I repaired it, no success.

I did repair the original file once, and got the half of it, but the other 20 minutes of video material are also really important to me (for a project on school, we can't remake it anymore. It was one-go only, and I didn't know big files (well at least that big) couldn't be set on the SD card of my Samsung GS2, which did have enough space btw.).

So I searched for doubling software, and I found one that seemed to work, called "Easy File Joiner". It doubled the size, I got a file of 6.88 gigs now. So I assumed it worked and put it into the repair utility. But it took a lot of time, says everything went successfully, and gave me an output file of 2KB and a log output of 18MB (Log file is 9000x (what a coincident xd) bigger than the video file, woohoo). -.-

I'm done, I don't know how to continue. I really want to have this complete video before Monday. It would be so great if someone could help me, maybe that 1.5 full version by PM or whatever. I would be so glad if I could finish this project. My four team members are also all depending on the fact whether this is gonna work or not, it would be such a waste of many days of preparation and work. I hope someone can help me.
