[Help] Omnia 2 i8000

i am helping my friend to install a custom rom for his omnia 2 and i am a nexus one user so i am not sure the omnia 2 has to that kind of stuffs that unlocks bootloader kind of thing and rooting stuffs. so i just wanna make sure before i do anything stupid to the phone. i hope someone can help me out here.
