I figured its about time to let you guys know what this means. First of all, ever heard of ROT13? Its a method of changing wording of a section of text by rotating every letter by 13. Its always reversible, as there are 26 letters in the alphabet.

Someone came up with an encoding called ROT47, which allowed you to use characters too. So, run this through a ROT47 generator, and you get:

sooo what is this firmware?

I was working on opening it to find out.... so far unpacked the 7Z which now leaves: system.tar.gz.bz2 and now I gotta get back to real work... I can't wait to here what it turns out to be!

Wrong. It looks like a 2.1 leak for the HTC MyTouch slide with test keys!?.

does that mean anything for eris users?

Its a dump of /system/ from the mytouch 3g slide. Simple - get someone to make a rom of it. I dont have an eris anymore, so i'm not going to do it (no way to test it). I know Framework is working on one.
