HELP!!! Cant get motoblur v1.1 and alike to work

hello this is droidfreek and i am having trouble getting the motoblur v1.1 rom and others like it that run on 2.1 and higher and i hope someone here can work im using amon recovery 1.5.2 and have a ext3

It gets to copying files then a faulure appers saying
cant symlink toolbox SYSTEM:bin/chmod or
no such file or set_perm_recursive 0 2000 0755 0
