anyone know how to chip x10a to i?

help me....
i was trying to install JIT to increase speed of my x10a 2.1......
something went wrong and phone restarted 2-3 times,and now the phone info reads x10i!!!!even the menu back trick reads the same....
there is no other problem till date,is it ok to keep usin it

the label below my battery says x10i, but my model in settings>about phone says x10a?WTF????????

wen i bought the phone it was x10i...n i upgraded it to android 2.1 using pc companion...den i tried to root it with the manual method wic was actually the method to root android 1.6...so i screwed up my phone,it was flashing ntt docomo n dats it,nothing worked...so i got a new os installed from a shop near my house...from den my phone's model in settings>about phone has changed to x10a, but the label below the battery says x10i...how can i change back to x10i?? i really need help guys..plz!!

plz tell me the exact steps u followed from the beginning like..rooting,upgrading etc.....i really need to convert my x10a to x10i!!

'a' uses QSD8650 processor 'i' uses QSD8250

800 WCDMA band if anyone wonders is for DoCoMo in Japan.

actually i just checked the device database and they both run the same chipset qsd8250 . so im not exactly sure if they really are hardware realated but if maybe kernal related?
since we havent been able to switch kernals completely there is now way to test if they are activated in the radio of the kernal.

also have taken both of the phones appart and havent noticed any actual hardware difference between the 2. i have had both models

different radios...

Basically x10a=America and x10i=international. If you flash a rom and your phone has changed models in the settings, don't fret, its still the phone you bought, all you have to do is change one letter in system/build.prop
