Default Use Xperia without Sim Card?

Hi people
I jusr recently switched from my beloved HD2 and got an Xperia X10 locked to vodafone Spain
Is there an unlocking solution for this device already?
Is there a way to backdoor meanwhile and be able to use the device without the Sim Card? Since the sim card is not correct it just stands in emergency call option at the bottom and cannot access no syncing options

All help is sincerely appreciated!

i don't know how it is in spain, but can't you buy just only an prepaid simcard for vodafone? here in holland they are pretty cheap and no need to register your name, adress etc etc, just buy it in store here.
Devices: Galaxy s4 i9505, Xperia Z, Desire Z, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S Armani, Xperia U

Ex-Devices: Too much to write here... but the last ones were: Desire HD, Iphone 4s, nexus one, Xperia Arc, Galaxy S2 White, Sensation XE, Galaxy note, HTC One X, Galaxy Tab p1000, Galaxy s3

Providers: Vodafone-NL, Hi-NL
