This is a new post, directly go to page 3, page 1 and 2 are about old application!!

Hi,

YAAM* is an alternative open-source Android Market.
It currently represents about 26.000 users and 500 applications.

Some functionnality:
No description limit
Up to 6 screens
HTML formating in descriptions
Developers receive 100% of application price (minus Paypal fees)
Many more

The main problem seems the number of application, you should focus on that if you want be a real marker alternative

It's not a problem, because this is not a release version ! The market doesn't exists at this time, no one can send an app. We are just building the website and application.

This week I was on holiday, so nothing really new. I've just starting integrating the application design. How do you feel about it ?

It looks nice! You might want to eliminate the splash screen though; speed is a necessity. Add an 'Already Downloaded' section above Category 1, Category 2, since it currently doesn't tell you what's been downloaded. And when you view a category, cache the apps available so it's not refreshing each time (Again, a speed issue).

And I forgot, an uninstall option [for apps].

will yaam take a percentage of the profit on items sold similar to apple's store?

No, developers will receive all the price of his application.

But YAAM is going to take a percent when users send money on their YAAM account.
