Default Succesfully installed mytouch 3g (no 3.5mm) housing with no hassle!

beast mode baby. First I was struggling with the "screw holes" or the golden part. but I bypassed it by not throwing in any screws at all! meaning my phone is with out screws I dont see how it effects the functionality. anyways. I bought a merlot housing off of ebay. and it did not come with screw holes. but luckily the front faceplate was so snug in tight after snapping it on, I could not take it off the second time to fix my vibration motor . only glitch is that I think I might have covered up the little multi colored LED by accident trying to pop in the metal part on the top. anyway my phone does not look beaten up anymore so Im good.

other wise everything fits. except that my vibrator motor is way too damn loud because of the "head" high drop. but oh well. btw if you guys are planning on replacing a housing and cant get the screws to fit I suggest using small amounts of glue or adhesive along the border of the faceplate and stick it on the screen, make sure you DO NOT get any of it on the screen. you will be good.
