Thumbs up [Solved] .net framework version 3.5 CAB file

In order to see what version is installed use File Explorer to navigate to the

\Windows directory on the device, and click the file called "CGACUTIL". You will

get a message box showing you the Win32 File Version of the .NET Compact

Framework installed on the device.

download and install the CAB file from the attachments

Please click on Thanks

ok. i wanted to throw my two cents in on this. i went in to my box's program files to find my install or .cab for WM .NET 3.5 Framework.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\CompactFramework\v3.5\Wind owsCE"

was the location.

NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab ...

Now under this same directory i also have

NETCFv35.ppc.armv4.cab
NETCFv35.wce.mipsii.cab
NETCFv35.wce.sh4.cab
NETCFv35.wce.armv4.cab
NETCFv35.wce.mipsiv.cab
NETCFv35.wce.x86.cab

that all said. i will grab the newest download for 4 and post my findings.

Ok, i installed the 4.0 package from microsoft. checked the program files and ran a search on my box for all .cabs. seeing if it squirreled them away. no dice though.

let me know if you guys find anything on a windows mobile version of the 4.0 Framework.

Wink How I solved .net 3.5

It took me 2 days to figure this one out. Finally i found a thread that said to install .net 2.0.
Follow this link. Install 2.0 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displayLang=en

Once you have done this then follow this link and look for 3.5.

I cant install .net 3.5 for a long time. I had an error while installing it. Then I installed .net 3.7 and all problems gone.

Wink Powertoys and exception messages

I installed NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab from the (full redistributable package) .NET Framework 3.5 (page down a bit to find the full version package).

Then I also installed;

Power Toys for .NET Compact Framework 3.5
&
NETCFv35.Messages.EN.wm.cab ; exception messages

Read more about the powertoys outside xda-developers here on modaco.com

Hope this helps,
Senax
